All of the plants offered by Desert Gardens were grown either from seeds or from carefully-selected cuttings. They were chosen for these KITS because of their unique shape, color or spination. Once planted together, they offer a visually pleasing garden that is easy to grow and maintain.

Unlike run-of-the-mill "cactus gardens" that offer only one type of plant - such as the familiar 'barrel' cactus - Desert Gardens provides a range of plants that can be used to create interesting landscapes, portraying a sample of the variety and uniqueness of the cactus and succulent families.

Some of the plants are used for their height, others for color, and still others to provide a leafy texture to the garden. A unique and interesting overall appearance is achieved by using a combination of many different succulents, primarily euphorbias. Other species such as haworthia, sedum, crassula and echeveria are used to vary the look, texture, shape and size. Very few cactus are used, thus making your garden much easier to plant since all the plants are easy to handle – even though many have spines.
